In response to the above developments of the storm, this morning, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention updated information advising each person and each household to absolutely not wait for the storm to arrive before taking action; instead, proactively take response measures to minimize damage that may be caused by the storm.
Accordingly, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention recommends that people regularly monitor the latest information on storms and tropical depressions via TV, telephone, local loudspeakers, and warnings from responsible people...
In particular, people should not go out when it is raining heavily or when there is strong wind. Each family should assign members to prepare for storms, save emergency phone numbers, and store important papers and documents in waterproof bags.
People should proactively check and reinforce their houses, prune tree branches around their houses to prevent trees from falling; reinforce aquaculture cages and rafts, and proactively harvest agricultural and seafood products early according to government recommendations.
The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention also recommends that people prepare essential supplies for at least 3 days, carefully packaged, including dry food, drinking water, and instant food.
For families with young children, it is necessary to prepare milk, baby food, and baby milk making tools. Each family also needs to prepare first aid supplies such as cotton, bandages, antiseptics, essential oils, and medicines for common illnesses such as: diarrhea, fever reducers, flu, sore eyes, and medicines prescribed by doctors for the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.
In addition, people should prepare disinfectants, clean water sources, prepare life jackets, mobile phones, flashlights, spare batteries for items, always pay attention to fully charge the devices; at the same time, absolutely follow the instructions of the authorities when there are further warnings./.
