The end of the year is considered the “golden season” of the retail industry. At this time, from consumer goods, fashion to electronics and automobiles, all are bustling with programs and sales policies with many incentives to welcome the year-end shopping season.
At Savani fashion store (Ha Huy Tap street, Thanh Sen ward), the Black Friday promotion program was launched early and extended to attract customers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham - Savani store manager said: "Promotional programs are continuously applied to attract customers. This year's Black Friday program is applied from November 13 to December 4 with a series of attractive promotions such as: same price 36,000 VND, 66,000 VND..., many items are discounted more than 50%, the program of buying more, the deeper the discount... At this time, the weather is turning cold, the demand for buying warm clothes is increasing, so the number of customers is also increasing, especially on weekends. Therefore, we have proactively imported and displayed many new product models such as jackets, sweaters, pajamas, long-sleeved shirts... for customers to easily choose".

According to records, large supermarkets and retail chains also cooperate with brands and trademarks to launch many promotional programs such as 50% discount, "buy 1 get 1 free", "buy 2 get 1 free", giving discount coupons, purchase vouchers or selling combos including main products with gifts...
Mr. Tran Van Thao - Director of the Central and Central Highlands regions, in charge of the Winmart+ store system in Ha Tinh said: "Currently, the unit has nearly 80 Winmart+ stores in the province to serve the consumption needs of the people. Along with meeting the diverse and quality goods source, the store also regularly has promotional activities for customers such as 20% discount on food items for members, weekend promotions, monthly and quarterly promotions... Since the beginning of the year, the revenue of the store system has grown quite well compared to the same period last year, showing that customers increasingly trust and choose to shop at modern retail stores. At the end of the year, we will continue to implement incentive programs to stimulate purchasing power."
According to retailers, the end of the year has many festivals and is also the time when people prepare for major holidays, so purchasing power is expected to increase. Therefore, the units also build plans for upcoming promotional programs such as: customer appreciation, Black Friday, Christmas, year-end clearance... to attract customers to shop.

For consumers, this is an opportunity to own products at attractive prices. Ms. Hoai Thuong (Thanh Sen ward) shared: “There are many discount programs at the end of the year, so I often research carefully on social networking sites and store websites before buying. I also compare prices between stores, compare regular listed prices with promotional prices, and read customer feedback. Buying at the right time, especially on Black Friday and Christmas when there are big promotions, can save from several hundred thousand to several million VND, especially with household goods and electronics.”

Along with organizing promotional activities to stimulate demand, retailers also prepare plans for goods supply with diverse product designs and prices.
Mr. Duong Van Vu - an employee of Mediamart Tran Phu electronics center (Thanh Sen ward) said: "At the end of the year, customers' shopping needs increase sharply, especially for household items such as televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, and seasonal products such as dehumidifiers and dryers. Grasping that trend, the store has proactively prepared a rich and diverse source of goods. We also increase incentive and discount programs to stimulate demand and best serve people's shopping needs during this peak season."
Data from the Department of Industry and Trade shows that commercial activities are more vibrant in the last month of the year, with retail sales of goods in October reaching more than VND 6,648 billion, up 1.95% over the previous month and up 11% over the same period last year. In the first 10 months of 2025, total retail sales of goods in the area reached more than VND 64,524 billion, up 12.2% over the same period last year. According to the assessment of the professional sector, the commodity market in the province is increasingly diverse, the distribution system is expanded and modernized, from traditional markets, supermarkets, shopping centers to e-commerce channels. This helps consumers have more choices and increases market competitiveness.

From now until the end of the year, many consumer stimulus activities will continue to be deployed and organized by the Department of Industry and Trade, such as: The North Central Region Industry and Trade Fair - Ha Tinh 2025 taking place from November 19 to 24; National Concentrated Promotion Program from December 1, 2025 to January 18, 2026 with a maximum promotion limit of up to 100% of the value of goods... This is an opportunity for businesses and production and business establishments to promote sales activities, creating excitement for the market.
With the support from State management agencies and the proactive business strategies of units and enterprises, the year-end retail market promises to be even more vibrant, meeting people's consumption and promoting the development of trade and services in the area.
