'Xuan Son is in another class'

“Xuan Son is on another level. Even though he just returned, he caught up and adapted very quickly,” striker Pham Gia Hung shared before the training session on the afternoon of November 13 of the Vietnam team. The short statement showed the influence and class of the striker from Nam Dinh in the eyes of his teammates.

Looking ahead to the match against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, the striker born in 2000 said the whole team is ready: “In the upcoming match, the attack will be very important. For me, if given the opportunity, I will try my best to show myself.”

Also on the afternoon of November 13, the Vietnamese team elected its executive committee. Center back Do Duy Manh was trusted to wear the captain's armband, while Quang Hai and Hoang Duc took on the role of vice captain.

In Group F, Vietnam is currently in second place with 9 points. Meanwhile, Laos has only 3 points after 4 matches and has been officially eliminated. The match between Vietnam and Laos will take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 19.
