Today (November 13) in Ho Chi Minh City, VTV9 and VTVcab announced a cooperation agreement to exploit broadcasting copyrights for European football tournaments, including Serie A (Italy), Ligue 1 (France), UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League starting from November 2025.

According to the announced agreement, VTV9 becomes the only national television channel (free broadcast) in Vietnam currently with the copyright to broadcast the top European football tournaments. This is an important cooperation that helps audiences nationwide have the opportunity to access prestigious tournaments easily, conveniently and completely free of charge on national television. Previously, due to copyright issues, Vietnamese fans had difficulty accessing to watch live attractive European international football matches on VTV channels.

Mr. Tu Luong - Director of VTV9 said that, in parallel with broadcasting live matches, VTV9 will produce pre- and mid-match commentary programs, interactive minigames and behind-the-scenes sports sections, with a strong southern style - close, cheerful and creative.

Commentator Vu Quang Huy - Deputy General Director of VTVcab said that the above tournaments will also be broadcast live on VTVcab's sports channels such as ON Football, ON Sports, ON Sports News, ON Sport+, ON Golf... In particular, southern fans will be able to listen to match commentary from commentators with southern accents, thereby getting a sense of closeness.

Announcing the VTV9 Open 2025 Pickleball Tournament

Also today, VTV9, in collaboration with VTVCab and other partners, announced the organization of the "Pickleball VTV9 Open 2025" tournament, taking place from December 19 to 21 at the Banger court complex (HCMC). The tournament is expected to attract about 600 players competing in both amateur and professional events with a total prize value of more than 2 billion VND.
