Department of Education and Training visited, worked and gave gifts at Tra My commune

DNO - On the afternoon of November 13, a working delegation of the Department of Education and Training (DET) led by Director Le Thi Bich Thuan had a working session with the People's Committee of Tra My commune and presented gifts to schools in the commune.

Attending the meeting were leaders of specialized departments under the Department of Education and Training; representatives of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tra My commune; and principals of kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in the area.

The program is also accompanied by Danang Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company and Danang City Book Club.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Tra My commune, the whole commune currently has 13 educational facilities with 153 classrooms, more than 4,000 students and nearly 400 cadres, teachers and staff.

The school system basically meets teaching requirements; 100% of schools have implemented the 2018 general education program, focusing on innovating methods, enhancing experiential activities and applying information technology in teaching.

However, the locality still faces difficulties such as lack of classrooms to organize 2 sessions/day; lack of IT and foreign language rooms, and some problems with policies and regimes for teachers and students in disadvantaged areas.

Tra My Commune People's Committee proposed that the Department of Education and Training and the City People's Committee continue to pay attention to supporting investment in facilities, teaching equipment, training teachers and removing shortcomings in special education policies.

Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Bich Thuan acknowledged and commended the efforts of the government, education sector of Tra My commune and the team of teachers in maintaining and improving the quality of teaching and learning.

Ms. Thuan requested that the department's specialized departments continue to closely coordinate with localities in management, teacher training, digital transformation, socialization of education and building a safe and friendly learning environment.

On this occasion, Da Nang Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company donated books and cash worth nearly 382 million VND to schools in the area; Da Nang City Book Club donated more than 30 million VND in books to Tra My students.

The units expressed their desire to continue accompanying the Da Nang education sector in social security activities, contributing to supporting students in difficult areas to excel in their studies and training.
