Railway industry expands free transportation of relief goods

DNO - On November 13, the Department of Construction of Da Nang said that the City People's Committee continued to assign the industry to coordinate and promptly inform about the reception and free transportation of goods to support people affected by natural disasters by Vietnam Railways Corporation.

Previously, on November 5, Vietnam Railways Corporation issued Document No. 4028 on organizing the transportation of relief goods to people in provinces and cities affected by natural disasters.

The free relief goods transportation scope is expanded to the Central region affected by floods, including: Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and other localities according to the actual development of natural disasters.

The transport hub is as announced in Document No. 3618 dated October 10 of Vietnam Railway Corporation. The transport objects are relief goods sent by organizations and individuals to flood victims through the People's Committees, Fatherland Fronts and Red Cross Associations of provinces and cities.

The receiving place, the focal point for receiving and sending goods to and from Da Nang city is at Da Nang station, address 202 Hai Phong street, Thanh Khe ward; contact Mr. Thanh, Director of Da Nang Railway Transport Branch, phone: 0986.767695.
