On the evening of August 6, Cho Myung-woo took to the field in the final match of the Korean national 3-cushion carom billiards tournament, facing his senior Kim Haeng-jik. The player nicknamed "child prodigy" continued to show his high performance, thereby winning convincingly and being crowned champion.

In the early stages, Cho Myung-woo started the game quite slowly. After 5 rounds, the Korean prodigy only scored 3 points, losing 6-3 to Kim Haeng-jik.

It was not until the 6th turn that Cho Myung-woo started to explode. When he was trailing 6-3, the player born in 1998 suddenly launched a series of 12 points to take the lead 15-6. From then on, Cho Myung-woo was excited and played extremely well.

In the second half, Cho Myung-woo scored another eight points on the 14th shot, taking a 44-14 lead over Kim Haeng-jik. In the end, the Korean prodigy won 55-27 over his senior, thereby winning the Korean national three-cushion billiards championship.

Sending a challenge to the 2025 World Games

During this period, Cho Myung-woo is in very good form. In less than a month and a half, the player born in 1998 has won 3 championship trophies. In turn, Cho Myung-woo won the World Cup billiards Porto - Portugal (early July) and 2 national tournaments in Korea on July 16 and August 6.

With his current form, Cho Myung-woo will be a big challenge for players with high goals at the 2025 World Games taking place in Chengdu, China from August 7 to 17. Cho Myung-woo and Heo Jung-han are the two representatives of Korean billiards competing in the men's 3-cushion carom billiards event at this world sports festival. Here, Cho Myung-woo may also clash with Vietnam's number 1 player Tran Quyet Chien.
