At the conference, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association announced the decision to establish the An Giang Provincial Veterans Association on the basis of merging the Kien Giang Provincial Veterans Association and the An Giang Provincial Veterans Association (old). At the same time, the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the association consisting of 24 comrades, the Standing Committee, and the Inspection Committee of 6 comrades was announced. Comrade Bui Vu Tan holds the position of Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Veterans Association (new); Vice Chairmen: Tran Thien My, Bui Thanh Chau and Nguyen Huu Thanh.

Along with that, the decision to establish the Veterans Association of 102 communes, wards and special zones in An Giang province was announced on the basis of merging the Veterans Association of 298 communes, wards and towns before. At the same time, the decision to establish 6 emulation clusters of the province was announced.
In the coming time, the Veterans Association will continue to promote the dissemination of major holidays and important political events of the country; effectively implement resolutions and policies of the Party, National Assembly, and Government on implementing the 2-level local government model from July 1, 2025; grasp the ideological situation and organization of members, promptly reflect to the Party Committee and orient public opinion.
The Association focuses on participating in national target programs, developing local socio-economics; promoting emulation movements, campaigns to welcome Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of Delegates. In particular, the Association continues to direct the improvement of policy credit efficiency, strictly manage lending groups and borrowers, strive to reduce the overdue debt rate to below 1%...
