Establishment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education Branch in Gia Lai

On September 5, Ministerof Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a Decision to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province on the basis of Gia Lai Provincial College of Education.

On September 5, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a Decision to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education on the basis of Gia Lai Pedagogical College.

Decision to assign Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to report to the Ministry of Education and Training, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province and relevant ministries and branches to organize the handover and reception of learners, personnel, finance, assets, facilities, equipment, records and documents related to Gia Lai College of Education according to the provisions of law; report to the Ministry of Education and Training on the conditions to ensure educational quality to allow the Branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province to carry out training activities according to the provisions of law.

Gia Lai Pedagogical College was originally Gia Lai-Kon Tum Secondary Pedagogical College, established in November 1979 under Decision No. 159/UB-TC dated January 2, 1979 of the People's Committee of Gia Lai-Kon Tum province. In March 1990, the Council of Ministers signed Decision No. 97-HDBT dated March 27, 1990 recognizing Gia Lai-Kon Tum Pedagogical College, now Gia Lai Pedagogical College.
