Thanh Thuy makes Vietnamese volleyball fans' hearts skip a beat

After an easy 3-0 win over Indonesia in the opening match, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team entered the second match of the first round of SEA V-League 2025, against the Philippines at 1:30 p.m. on August 2. Facing a tough opponent, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet used the strongest hitters like Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen... Bich Tuyen and her teammates played overwhelmingly against the Philippines. The Vietnamese girls took a 2-0 lead. It was thought that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team would have another victory in 3 sets, but the Philippines played very hard, shortening the score to 1-2. Notably, in the middle of set 3, during a jump after the 3m line, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy fell and then suffered pain in her ankle. Thanh Thuy's injury has significantly affected the playing style of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. Fortunately, in set 4, VTV Binh Dien Long An's main attacker returned. With Thanh Thuy not injured before the match against Thailand, Vietnamese volleyball fans breathed a sigh of relief. She and her teammates are determined to defeat their opponents. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team's play improved in set 4. Vietnam women's volleyball team won 3-1 (25/13, 25/21, 23/25, 25/9). After 2 matches, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team won all 6 points and only lost 1 set. At 5:00 p.m. on July 3, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team entered the final match with host Thailand.
