Currently, the Cao Loc Secondary School's Youth Union has 22 branches with over 900 members. Over the years, the school's Youth Union has achieved many outstanding accomplishments. Notably, in 2025, the Youth Union received a commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its excellent achievements in youth union work and children's movements during the 2020-2025 period; and a commendation from the Central Youth Union for its outstanding achievements in youth union work and children's movements in the 2024-2025 school year.
To achieve these results, the school's youth organization has always focused on innovating the content and form of its activities, prioritizing experiential learning, creativity, and suitability to the students' age group. The organization has launched many vibrant and practical emulation movements linked to the learning and training tasks of its members, such as: "Vietnamese Children Emulating the Five Teachings of Uncle Ho," "Good Grades," "Two Friends Progressing Together," building "Green, Clean, and Beautiful Classrooms," and "Small Projects"... These movements have created strong motivation and spread the spirit of learning and training among the members. The academic and training results of the school's students have remained stable and have shown breakthroughs in the percentage of good and excellent students, and students excelling at all levels each year. For example, in the 2024-2025 school year, the school won 129 awards for outstanding students at the district level (when it was still at the district level), an increase of 19 awards compared to the previous school year; and 22 awards for outstanding students at the provincial level, an increase of 3 awards compared to the previous school year…
Ms. Hoang Hoai Thuong, Head of the Youth Union at Cao Loc Secondary School, shared: "For the Youth Union movement to be effective, first and foremost, activities must be suitable to the psychology and age of students and create enthusiasm for them. The Youth Union always focuses on innovating organizational forms towards experiential and creative activities, increasing the application of information technology, dramatization, and assigning specific tasks to each sub-team; promoting the self-governance role of the Youth Union Command Board and the sub-team officers, while closely coordinating with the school's administration, homeroom teachers, parents, and organizations inside and outside the school to organize synchronized and effective activities."
The Youth Union also actively organizes many beneficial playgrounds and extracurricular activities based on monthly, quarterly, and annual themes. Typical examples include: Foreign Language Day, Book and Reading Culture Day, STEM competitions, schoolyard dances, Phu Dong Sports Festival, career guidance experiences, journeys to historical sites, traffic safety awareness campaigns, prevention of school violence, drug abuse, and cybersecurity… Through these activities, the Youth Union creates an environment for its members to develop comprehensively in terms of knowledge, skills, and moral character.
In addition, the school's youth union also linked the emulation movement with commendation and rewards. Duong Diem My, the leader of the 7A4 class, Cao Loc Secondary School's youth union, said: "Under the guidance of the head of the youth union and the homeroom teacher, our class has actively implemented many meaningful movements and activities for all the members in the class. The youth union's leadership always proactively assigns specific tasks to each group and each member; regularly encourages, reminds, and participates with their friends in training and preparing well for competitions and collective activities. As a result, the members actively participate."
Ms. Chu Thi Hau, Deputy Principal of Cao Loc Secondary School, said: "Team activities are not only a beneficial playground but also an effective 'extension' of the school in comprehensive education . Through competitive movements and team activities, the quality of students' learning and training has directly impacted their academic performance and character development. This creates motivation for academic competition, moral education, and life skills training, building a positive learning environment so that every day at school is a joyful one for students."
The achievements made in the past period are clear evidence of the effectiveness of the Cao Loc Secondary School's Youth Union. In the coming time, the school's Youth Union will continue to innovate the content and form of its activities, build a friendly and positive learning environment so that each member has the opportunity to develop their abilities, hone their skills, and become more mature in their studies and lives.
