According to information from the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh officially retired after 40 years of working in the profession.
However, Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh will continue to accompany the Gifted High School as a school advisor in the work of nurturing excellent students.

Previously, in March, Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh stopped working as the head of the math group at the Gifted High School after 32 years of doing this job.
During these 32 years, the math team has contributed hundreds of national awards to the school, including first prize in more than half of the years. In particular, the math team has contributed 20 international and regional medals, including 5 gold medals.
Le Ba Khanh Trinh, born in 1962 in Hue , is known as the "golden boy of Vietnamese mathematics".
In 1979, at the age of 17, while a student in the specialized math class at Quoc Hoc Hue School, he was selected to participate in the International Math Olympiad in London, England, with 4 other students.

He won first prize with a perfect score of 40/40, and also won a special prize for unique solution.
After passing the exam, he studied at the Faculty of Mathematics of Moscow State University. He was guided by Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Andrei Aleksandrovich Gonchar in his graduation thesis and then his doctoral thesis.
Returning to Vietnam, he taught at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, University of Natural Sciences and Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University).
