At each family, the delegation kindly asked about their health, listened to their daily life stories, and expressed their deep gratitude for the sacrifices and great contributions of the mothers and wounded soldiers in the struggle for national independence and protection of the Fatherland. Each family was given a meaningful gift, expressing the gratitude of today's generation to the previous generation.

Touched by the concern of the younger generation, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, a 2/4 War Invalids, residing in Hamlet 14, shared: “I am very touched when teachers, students, and members of the Ward Youth Union come to visit me. These feelings are a great source of encouragement to help me live happily, live healthily and feel warmer every time July 27th comes around.”

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Ngo Van Tay, a 3/4 disabled soldier, currently living in Hamlet 12.

Phung Ngoc Liem Primary School and Doan Bac Lieu Ward presented gifts of gratitude to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bac, War Invalids 4/4 (Hamlet 14).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, Principal of Phung Ngoc Liem Primary School, said: “Visiting and showing gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and people with revolutionary contributions is a meaningful activity that the school has maintained regularly for many years. Through this, we hope to educate students to appreciate history, live humanely and be more responsible towards the community.”

The gratitude activities of teachers and students of Phung Ngoc Liem Primary School and the Youth of Bac Lieu Ward have contributed to spreading the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, and at the same time fostering patriotism in the young generation, especially when the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27 is approaching.
