Stage artists honored in the joy of Vietnam Theatre Tradition Day

On the evening of October 3, at Pham Thi Tran Theater ( Ninh Binh City) - Vietnam Stage Artists Association coordinated with Ninh Binh province to organize a special art program to celebrate Vietnam Stage Day (August 12 of the lunar calendar) and honor outstanding artists of the period 1975-2025.

The opening part is a mashup of "Ninh Binh rises to shine - The new road is vast" and the reportage "50 years of Vietnamese stage art", vividly recreating the journey of continuous development of the country's stage.

People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association presented a symbolic plaque of 200 million VND to support the people of Ninh Binh province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

The art program lasted more than 70 minutes, gathering many genres: Cheo, Tuong, Cai Luong, circus, puppetry, drama... Performances such as "Homeland Festival", circus "Swinging Hats", "Am Sac Huong Binh", traditional trio "Nang Gio Phuong Nam", skit "Ban Ic" by People's Artist Hong Van and comedy skit "Giau Tuc, Giau Thuc"... brought the audience a colorful art picture, connecting the past - present - future. Honoring generations of artists - those who keep the stage fire burning.

The special highlight was the ceremony to honor nearly 140 outstanding artists, divided into 5 awarding sessions. The honoree list ranged from veteran names such as People's Artist Minh Vuong, People's Artist Kim Cuong, People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc, People's Artist Huu Danh, People's Artist Hong Van... to young artists who are continuing the tradition such as Le Trinh, My Nhung... ( Ho Chi Minh City).

In Hanoi , there is almost no shortage of stage stars, from People's Artist Le Tien Tho, Thanh Ngoan, Minh Hoa, Tong Toan Thang, Hoang Cuc, Thu Ha, Xuan Bac, Quoc Truong, Kieu Oanh, Vuong Ha, Trieu Trung Kien... to Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong, Quang Khai, Thien Hoa, Minh Thanh...

They are the ones who together wrote the brilliant epic of Vietnamese theater over the past half century—the ones who lit up faith and sowed humanity in the hearts of the public through each role and each emotional performance.

Gratitude and faith in the future

With the attention of the Party, the State, the companionship of society and the creative aspirations of the artists, Vietnamese theater will continue to shine, contributing to the building of an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, standing shoulder to shoulder with international friends. Closing the show was the singing performance "Convergence of the Essence", as a solemn greeting to the profession's ancestors and the entire theater world, opening a new journey full of faith and expectation.

People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, represented the artists who are members of the association to give 200 million VND to families who suffered a lot of damage after storm No. 10 on September 29 in Ninh Binh. This is a good gesture, showing the hearts of stage artists to the people of Ninh Binh after the natural disaster.
