Nha Trang and Nam Nha Trang wards prepare vehicles and forces to respond to storm No. 15

According to preliminary statistics of the Ward Civil Defense Command, there are 2 residential areas at risk of landslides; 4 residential areas at risk of flooding and 3 residential areas on the island at risk of large waves and landslides. The ward has assigned tasks to each member of the command to carry out on-site command work in key areas, ready to evacuate people.

To respond to storm No. 15, the Ward People's Committee directed the Economic , Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department to be on duty 24/24 hours; prepare necessary warning and rescue equipment. At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Construction and advise the Ward People's Committee to direct investors of construction works in the area to proactively deploy measures to ensure construction safety when natural disasters occur; direct construction units to temporarily stop operations on days with storms and heavy rain; reinforce and tie down vehicles and equipment; promptly fix construction incidents caused by heavy rain.

The police and the ward 's Military Command organize on-duty and allocate forces at key points; prepare means of natural disaster prevention and control; proactively contact units to support means, machinery and equipment to rescue people during natural disasters; and set up checkpoints to protect people's property in evacuation areas.

The Ward's Department of Culture and Society , Nha Trang Cultural and Public Service Center have intensified propaganda in many forms about the developments of storm No. 15; deployed a plan to send emergency SMS messages to mobile subscribers of the people, even in the event of a power outage in the entire ward. Border guards stationed in the area are responsible for coordinating to check and grasp the number of ships, boats and fishermen operating at sea in the ward to guide the movement, coordinate the operation of ships and boats to safe anchoring positions; be ready to mobilize forces to help people evacuate, especially workers on islands, rafts or search and rescue due to ship sinking, broken anchors... when requested by the ward. The ward will announce a ban on going to sea from the morning of November 27.

*In Nam Nha Trang ward, the ward People's Committee has directed that since November 25, all residential groups and related departments, offices and units review and prepare vehicles and equipment to respond to storm No. 15. All vehicles are gathered at the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department, the Military Command, the ward People's Committee headquarters and the vehicle coordination units. The forces are ready to wait for the mobilization order under the direction of the ward Civil Defense Command. All preparations must be completed by November 28.
