Entering the second season of the AFC Women's Champions League 2025-2026 (Asian Women's Cup C1), Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club continues to impress when they passed the group stage for the second consecutive time.
This helped coach Kim Chi's team become one of eight teams to enter the quarterfinals of the Asian Women's Cup C1 with second place in Group A. This is also the second consecutive time Huynh Nhu and her teammates have participated in the knockout round.
Last season, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club continuously created surprises and historical milestones for Vietnamese women's football when they made a spectacular comeback in the quarter-finals, entered the semi-finals and only lost to the defending champion, Wuhan Jiangda (China) on their home field.
However, this year's performance of coach Kim Chi's team with only 3 goals scored and 3 goals conceded means they are not in the seed group for the best second place in the group. This means that the HCMC women's club will have to play away in the quarterfinals. The opponent of Huynh Nhu and her teammates is one of three teams: Wuhan Jiangda, Tokyo Verdy Beleza or Naegohyang.

In addition to the representative of the city named after Uncle Ho, the remaining quarter-final spots belong to Melbourne City (Australia, first place in Group A), Wuhan Jiangda (China, first place in Group B), Nasaf (Uzbekistan, second place in Group B) and the first and second place teams in Group C including Tokyo Verdy Beleza (Japan), Naegohyang (North Korea), the two third-place teams with the best results Suwon (South Korea, third place in Group C) and Stallion Laguna (Philippines, third place in Group A).
The draw for the 2025-2026 AFC Women's Champions League quarter-finals will take place on January 15, 2026, while the quarter-finals will be held on March 22 and 23, 2026.
