However, with quick reflexes and accuracy, Nguyen Du Secondary School team took the lead with 30 points thanks to 6 correct answers, while Ky Tan Secondary School only managed to score 5 points with only 1 correct answer.
Moving on to the second round – “Quick Mind”, teams must demonstrate their English speaking skills around the topic “The Art of Confidence – Discover Your True Potential”, with a draw to select specific content from the judges and 5 minutes to prepare.
With the topic "Illusion of the gaze - No one really pays attention to you as much as you think", Nguyen Du Secondary School team made a strong impression thanks to sharp arguments, clear structure and impressive rebuttal, excellently winning 30 absolute points. Meanwhile, Ky Tan Secondary School team also had a great performance with the topic "Confidence in every gesture, body language and the power to change reality", winning 27 points.
With the advantage of leading, Nguyen Du Secondary School team confidently entered the final round of “Quick Hands”. They continued to show their superiority with 4 correct answers, bringing home an additional 40 points. Meanwhile, Ky Tan Secondary School team only managed to score 10 more points, causing the gap in scores to widen even further.
In the final cryptic crossword question worth 40 points – “What environmental phenomenon is caused by gases like CO₂ that trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere?”, Nguyen Du Secondary School team quickly gave the correct answer: “Greenhouse effect”, ending the match with an impressive total score of 140 points.
This convincing victory helped Nguyen Du Secondary School become the second name to participate in the final round of "English Window" season 2.
