The world has 'responded' to the marriage proposal.

On the evening of December 26th, local time, the American news agency CNN published an article introducing the Kissing Bridge – a new structure that opened on December 22nd in Sunset Town, Phu Quoc – to readers worldwide . With a title that sparked much curiosity: " A new bridge in Vietnam dedicated to giving kisses, not to crossing ," the article was featured prominently in the "Featured" section of CNN's homepage for many hours.

The author of the article, Veronica Lin, had high praise for the Engagement Bridge. “ A new check-in spot where couples can share romantic moments under the Vietnamese sunset ,” she described. From Lin's perspective, the Engagement Bridge, viewed from afar, looks like “two pairs of lips about to touch.”

The Kiss Bridge is the result of a collaboration between renowned Italian architect Marco Casamonti and Sun Group. The bridge is over 800 meters long and its design is inspired by Michelangelo's classic fresco – "Creation of Adam" – on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican.

Just like the two fingers not touching in the painting, the two branches of the bridge don't "touch" each other but are spaced about 30 cm apart. " This means the couple would stand on opposite sides of the bridge, then lean in to share a passionate kiss ," CNN describes.

CNN was also surprised by the calculations of the architects who created the bridge, so that on January 1st each year, the sun will "fall" precisely into the space between the two branches of the bridge, before sinking back into the sea.

The Kiss Bridge is one of the most beautiful places in the world to watch the sunset.

According to CNN, Phu Quoc is considered "the best island in Vietnam for tourism ," especially for honeymooning couples. The island has also invested heavily in tourism infrastructure, attracting the world's most luxurious resort brands such as JW Marriott, InterContinental, Regent… " And the Kissing Bridge has added another tourist attraction on the island for all visitors to experience ," CNN suggests.

The Kiss Bridge is a feature within the newly launched entertainment complex on December 21st in Sunset Town, Phu Quoc, invested by Sun Group with a total investment of over 4000 billion VND. It includes the Vui Phet (VUI-Fest) seaside night market and the world-leading modern multimedia show, "Kiss of the Sea," featuring a 7-minute fireworks display every night.

This complex is attracting tens of thousands of tourists to Phu Quoc every day to check in, have fun, and enjoy the sights.

The Kissing Bridge will be the next symbol of Vietnamese tourism after the Golden Bridge.

Besides the Kissing Bridge, the CNN article also mentioned the Golden Bridge at Sun World Ba Na Hills (Da Nang). Located at an altitude of over 1,400m above sea level, the bridge, with its astonishing design resembling two giant hands supporting a golden thread, captivated international media when it opened in 2018 and has become an icon of Vietnamese tourism ever since.

CNN also selected the Golden Bridge as one of the 124 most impressive travel photos in the world at that time.
