According to the Ministry of Health 's Covid-19 prevention and control bulletin, on May 24, our country recorded 1,081 new cases, a decrease of nearly 400 cases compared to the previous day.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,606,479 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. With the rate of cases per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,292 cases per 1 million people).
On May 24, 522 patients were announced to have recovered, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,636,434. 69 cases are on oxygen, of which 58 are on oxygen via mask; 7 are on high-flow HFNC; 5 are on non-invasive ventilators.
No deaths were recorded on May 24. The total number of Covid-19 deaths in Vietnam to date is 43,205, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of cases.
Previously, on May 23, 2,884 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, a total of 266,384,795 doses of vaccine were injected. Of which, 223,729,288 doses were injected for people aged 18 and over: 70,909,116 doses for the first dose; 68,455,552 doses for the second dose; 14,344,113 doses for the supplementary dose; 52,129,471 doses for the first booster dose; 17,891,036 doses for the second booster dose.
Vaccinations for children aged 12-17 years old are 23,965,543 doses: 1st dose is 9,130,889 doses; 2nd dose is 9,021,366 doses; 1st booster dose is 5,813,288 doses.
Vaccination for children from 5-11 years old is 18,689,964 doses: 1st dose is 10,224,348 doses; 2nd dose is 8,465,616 doses.
