According to a statement issued on April 6 by the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Majid Khademi was killed in the early morning hours of the same day amid ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.

The IRGC stated that Khademi had nearly half a century of experience in intelligence and security, with many contributions considered important and guiding to the protection of the political system and national security.
The IRGC believes that Khademi's contributions will serve as a model for future Iranian intelligence forces, particularly in countering external threats and activities deemed to destabilize domestic security.
Most of Iran's key leaders before the war were killed in attacks by the US and Israel. Just last March, Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, Commander of the IRGC Navy, was killed in an attack on the coast. Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani were also killed that same month.
The conflict stemmed from the US and Israeli attack on Iran on February 28, which killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. At the same time, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and IRGC Army Commander Mohammad Pakpour were also confirmed dead.
