Doctors at the second facility of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital recently examined a mother who conceived naturally and discovered a rare case: a woman carrying quadruplets naturally (photo). This is an exceptionally rare situation in obstetrics, with an incidence of only about 1 in 700,000 to 1 in 800,000 natural pregnancies.

The pregnancy is currently being closely monitored by a team of experienced doctors, with all vital signs and ultrasound images showing that all four fetuses have heartbeats, are developing appropriately for their gestational age, and show no signs of abnormalities. Early detection and close management from the initial stages play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both the mother and the fetuses.
