Piloting the conversion to green energy

This is one of the activities under the Capacity Development Project on Environmental Protection and Climate Change Mitigation, phase 2024-2027, funded by the Australian Government and implemented by Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA in coordination with the Provincial Women's Union.

Previously, the project management board established a community monitoring team to strengthen propaganda, guide the classification and treatment of organic waste in households. Many training courses were also organized to guide the classification of waste at source and the treatment of organic waste into compost using IMO microorganisms. At the same time, necessary equipment (33 classified waste bins, 20 organic waste compost bins and 10 “Green Houses”) were supported to store recyclable waste collected by households.

Through these activities, awareness and sense of responsibility of cadres, women's union members and people in protecting the environment and responding to climate change are raised, contributing to reducing household waste, increasing the reuse of organic waste, creating a source of clean fertilizer for crops and improving the green, clean and beautiful living landscape.

In addition, the project also introduces to local people environmentally friendly, biodegradable products, contributing to spreading green lifestyle and sustainable consumption in the community.
