To prepare for the exam taking place starting tomorrow, this morning (May 29th), candidates arrived at the examination centers to complete the registration procedures.
Arriving at the exam site early, candidate Nguyen Linh Anh, a student from Hanoi Star School, shared that this is an important exam and she has studied diligently. At this time, she is maintaining a calm demeanor and going to bed to ensure she is in the best health for the exam day.
Before officially entering the examination room, Linh Anh was thoroughly instructed by the invigilators on the examination regulations, especially regarding arriving on time to avoid any unfortunate mistakes.

Besides her academic efforts, her family is also a great source of emotional support for her. Linh Anh shared that before the exam, her parents went with her to Dau Pagoda to pray for good luck. However, unlike many students who often abstain from certain foods or follow folk beliefs, the female student did not focus too much on spiritual eating habits but maintained a relaxed attitude before the exam.

Pressure will not lead to good exam performance.
Sharing his thoughts after the exam registration process, Pham Tien Bao from Khuong Mai Secondary School said that he and other candidates were thoroughly briefed by the invigilators on arrival times, permitted and prohibited items in the exam room, dress code regulations, and how to ask for assistance in case of any problems.
In the days leading up to the exam, Bao said that she didn't over-study but went to bed early to maintain her health and keep her mind clear and relaxed.
"Maintaining a stable mindset is extremely important because pressure will make you flustered and perform poorly on the test," Bao said.

To prepare for this exam, Pham Tien Bao spent a long time diligently studying. He shared that during his final year of high school, he attended extra classes almost every day of the week to achieve his goal of getting into a specialized high school and a top-ranked high school in Hanoi.
During the exam, I listed five preferences: Kim Lien High School (first choice), Quang Trung - Dong Da High School (second choice), Khuong Ha High School (third choice), and two prestigious specialized high schools: Chu Van An High School and Nguyen Hue High School.
To meet expectations, the male student established a habit of waking up at 5 a.m. to study. According to Bao, this helped him get used to his biological rhythm and the schedule of the actual exam.

Before the exam, my parents took me to a temple to light incense, pray for good luck, and boost my morale before entering the exam.
Some candidates shared that they felt "a little nervous" but were ready to enter the first day of the exam tomorrow (May 30th) with the two subjects: Literature and Foreign Language.
Waiting for her child at the exam site, Ms. Le Thi Ngan from Thanh Xuan ward shared her anxiety and worry, saying she had been "losing sleep and appetite" for days.
"My child stays up studying until 11 PM, and I stay up waiting for her too. Many nights she stays up so late that I get anxious and urge her to go to bed to ensure her health. The exam has many students participating, but there are few public high schools, which puts a lot of pressure on the students, and parents are stressed as well," said Ms. Ngan.

Preventing exam cheating
According to our reporter's observations at the exam site at Mo Lao Secondary School (Ha Dong), preparations for the exam were thorough. Parents were guided by volunteers to parking areas and rest spots while waiting for their children. The parents' resting area was about 200 meters from the exam site entrance, equipped with fans and drinking water.
This morning, at the exam site entrance, volunteer youth guided candidates through the exam room layout and showed them where to store their personal belongings, located about 300 meters from the exam rooms.
Candidates who brought mobile phones had them carefully placed in plastic bags by volunteers before being handed over to individual bins labeled with the exam room number. However, candidates were also reminded not to bring mobile phones or expensive electronic devices to the exam site on the day of the exam.
Ms. Le Thi Hang, Deputy Head of the examination center at Mo Lao Secondary School (Hanoi), said that before the exam, they had reviewed all facilities to ensure adequate lighting, air conditioning, and fans for the candidates.
The examination center has arranged 28 official examination rooms, 2 reserve examination rooms, 1 waiting room, 1 medical room, and has developed contingency plans to deal with extreme weather conditions such as intense heat and sudden heavy rain. The examination center has also prepared generators to prevent power outages.
"Up to this point, the examination centers have not recorded any cases of candidates with special circumstances requiring individual support," Ms. Hang said.
According to the Deputy Head of the examination center, a particularly important aspect of the exam is tightening the examination regulations for both invigilators and candidates to ensure a serious and objective examination. All invigilators are familiar with the regulations, their duties, and their roles, and are thoroughly briefed on the regulations for invigilators. Candidates have also been briefed on the regulations, ensuring they understand all rules before entering the examination room.
In addition to learning the regulations, students are also guided on how to handle various situations that may arise, such as writing down the wrong registration number, filling in the wrong test code, forgetting documents, lacking learning materials, or experiencing health problems.
According to regulations, if candidates forget or lose their exam registration slip, they can still make a commitment as instructed by the invigilator to participate in the exam. However, to avoid being caught off guard, students should prepare all necessary documents and carefully check their belongings the night before.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, advised candidates to carefully read the exam regulations, check all necessary documents and items before arriving at the examination site, and absolutely not bring any prohibited items into the examination room to avoid unfortunate mistakes.
In addition, Mr. Tuan also advised candidates to maintain good health, confidence, and focus on doing their best in the exam to achieve the highest possible results.
