Artist Nguyen Thanh Hai shared: "I started painting still life, landscapes, and the everyday life of people in the Northern Delta. I painted most often young women in traditional ao dai dresses, everyday activities, and images of bamboo trees."
The artworks displayed in "Spring Colors" not only depict spring flowers or Vietnamese Tet landscapes, but also capture memories: childhood memories, family memories, the season of reeds, the season of lotus flowers...
In addition, portrait works such as "Princess of the Nguyen Dynasty," "Girl and the Conical Hat," "Young Woman of Yesteryear," etc., also affirm his distinctive artistic style.

Despite this being his first solo exhibition in Vietnam, artist Nguyen Thanh Hai has participated in numerous group exhibitions around the world , from the US, France, Belgium, and Finland to Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
Since 2005, he has taken lacquer paintings to the international stage, showcasing his work on technically demanding materials such as gold leaf, silver leaf, and eggshell inlay.
"Lacquerware fascinates me with its light, depth, and overlapping layers. Each time I polish it, the artwork reveals something unexpected," he confided.
The Spring Colors exhibition is not only a significant milestone in the artistic journey of painter Nguyen Thanh Hai, but also a place to honor the traditional beauty in Vietnamese painting.
