We arrived at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi) at 5 PM on August 10th and returned home at 0:30 AM on August 11th feeling extremely satisfied and full of energy.
Perhaps few programs feature only patriotic songs, with the audience singing along from beginning to end, and everyone so enthusiastic and sincere. Nguyen Thi Huyen (Hanoi) said: “Patriotism isn't a trend. It's in our genes. I was very moved to watch and participate in such an emotional program that radiated such positive energy. The program truly touched the hearts of the audience.”
Nguyen Thi Ha ( from Thanh Hoa ) shared: “We arrived at My Dinh Stadium very early, preparing red flags to hold, red flag scarves with yellow stars, face stickers, red flag fans with yellow stars… to join in the atmosphere with everyone at the My Dinh cauldron.”
“I cried as every word of the 'Marching Song' resonated among 50,000 spectators. It was a truly heroic and emotional national concert,” said Tran Thi Kim Oanh from Hanoi. “After watching, my daughter praised it profusely, saying, ‘I didn’t think a political and artistic program could be so good and fun.’ For my family, this program has immense educational value in every aspect, and I think society greatly desires and needs similar programs.”

Mr. Do Cao Bao (Facebook CaoBao Do) shared: “Just two years ago, many Vietnamese people were still amazed by the BlackPink craze from South Korea. Many people couldn't believe it and couldn't explain why 31,000 and then 36,000 people came to My Dinh Stadium to watch these beautiful young girls dance and sing on stage.”
“Then, last night (August 10th), 50,000 Vietnamese spectators filled both the stands and the My Dinh stadium pitch for the national music night titled “Homeland in My Heart”. It’s a pity that the capacity of My Dinh stadium is limited; otherwise, there would have been at least 500,000 people, because 3 million people had already registered for tickets online,” Mr. Do Cao Bao commented.
No international stars, no trendy music night, just a night of thought-provoking music with songs about homeland and country, with familiar songs: "Marching Song," "August 19th," "National Guard," "The Road We Take," "Onward," "Artillery Pulling Chant," "The Road Ahead," "Mother Loves Her Child," "Song of Hope," "Aspiration," "The Country Full of Joy," "Melody of Pride," "Continuing the Story of Peace," "We Will Win," "Homeland Vietnam," "Beautiful Vietnam," "I Love Vietnam," "In the Next Life Still a Vietnamese," "A Round Trip Around Vietnam," "Aspiration of Youth," "As If Uncle Ho Were Present on the Day of Great Victory "...

"However, precisely because they touched hearts and national pride, more than 20 songs spanning the nation's modern history, with youthful arrangements on heroic melodies and lyrics, made 50,000 spectators at My Dinh Stadium feel more love for Vietnam and their homeland, and feel that the Fatherland truly resides in their hearts," wrote Mr. Do Cao Bao.
Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Le Quoc Minh, the overall commander of this program, emotionally shared: “What happened yesterday was exactly as I envisioned from the moment the idea was conceived. My Dinh Stadium was dyed red with the color of the national flag, 50,000 people proudly sang the national anthem, the troops marched in perfect formation with powerful steps, and the parade was extremely exciting.”
"Familiar yet unique songs, presented through fresh arrangements, with renowned singers, musicians, and athletes who are down-to-earth, taking on the role of lead singers for tens of thousands of people, the audience is captivated and joins in singing," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.
On the live television screen, 50,000 people erupted with emotion, their faces filled with love and faith as they shouted: "The homeland is in our hearts," "Vietnam, Vietnam"...
Following the event, Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared on his personal page: "Yesterday's program was inevitably flawed due to its enormous scale. It was the biggest event of my life. I don't know if I'll have the opportunity or ability to organize a similar event again. But I'll give it my all, with the sole desire of contributing to society."
For Mr. Le Quoc Minh, giving the opening speech before tens of thousands of people wearing red shirts with yellow stars was a truly indescribable feeling: pride, elation, and emotion…

But after such a large event, there are certainly many who praise it, but there are also criticisms, especially regarding the fact that thousands of people still had to queue even after the show had started.
Since this event was completely free, the organizers implemented a very thorough ticket control system, including scanning citizen identification cards using QR codes as previously announced. Ticket gates and audience flow management were open from 3 PM to 8 PM on August 10th, but in reality, some people had been queuing for hours and still hadn't been able to enter the venue even when the program started.
The restroom facilities, serving tens of thousands of people, still have many shortcomings. Many restrooms are closed, and there is no one to guide visitors...
Outside the stadium, ticket scalping persists, with "those who shamelessly profit" from a community and national event like this. Free tickets are being resold for millions of dong right outside the stadium. The buying and selling of complimentary tickets is as open as selling them.

The parking arrangements for visitors also caused much frustration; a motorbike parking fee of 50,000 VND, marked with a red stamp, did not have the amount printed on the ticket, and the money was transferred directly to multiple personal accounts.
Tens of thousands of vehicles were pushed into the empty lot right next to the stadium, and visitors could park and retrieve them however they wanted. The entrance and exit gates were shared, with no separate lanes or directions, and visitors had to spend 1-2 hours just to get to the ticket counter…
Following this incident, perhaps the organizers need to learn from this experience so that profiteers will not be able to run rampant. People can also attend national concerts with a more relaxed mindset, fully appreciating the meaning of the event.
The political and artistic program "Homeland in Our Hearts" took place on the evening of August 10th at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi), organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Hanoi People's Committee, and other units to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The program is supported by the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR), Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC), Vietnam National Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP), Nam A Commercial Bank (Nam A Bank), Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Bank (LPBank), SUN GROUP, and Sun Bright Creative Arts and Events Joint Stock Company.
The program brings together artists from many generations such as: People's Artist Thu Huyền, Meritorious Artist Đăng Dương, singers Phạm Thu Hà, Tùng Dương, Võ Hạ Trâm, Hà Lê, Noo Phước Thịnh, Tóc Tiên, Thanh Duy, Suboi, Đông Hùng, Oplus group...
