According to the plan, from August 17th to 20th, the Ministry of Education and Training will upload the admission results for all methods to the system and conduct six rounds of virtual filtering to produce the final results. After 5 PM on August 20th, universities will announce the cutoff scores. The deadline for universities to announce the cutoff scores is before 5 PM on August 22nd.

This year, 850,000 candidates registered for university entrance exams with a total of approximately 7.6 million applications. On average, each candidate submitted about 9 applications.

Speaking with reporters on the morning of August 19th, Mr. Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center - Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that the university will announce the cutoff scores at 6 PM on August 20th and enrollment will begin on August 22nd.

"Although the virtual filtering process is not yet complete, the cutoff scores for this year can be basically predicted. High-demand majors such as logistics, marketing, and international business will have cutoff scores equal to or lower than 2024 by about 0.5 points; majors with cutoff scores around 20 points such as electronics, automation, mechatronics, data science , information security... are likely to increase by 1-2 points this year," - Mr. Son informed.

Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of the Training Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that the university expects to announce the admission scores on the evening of August 20th.

"After three rounds of virtual filtering, the data shows that the cutoff score for admission based on high school graduation exam results is very likely to decrease slightly, ranging from 22-25 points. Meanwhile, the cutoff scores for other methods may increase, for example, admission based on high school academic results ranging from 25-29 points, and the aptitude test score of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City around 750-900 points," said Dr. Nhan.

Member universities of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, such as the University of Technology and the University of Economics and Law, will also announce their admission scores on the evening of August 20th.

The Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking announced that it will release information on the admission scores on the evening of August 20th. Successful candidates will complete the enrollment procedures on September 3rd and 4th. The university will hold the opening ceremony for the new academic year on September 5th.
