Thuy Lan village (Viet Yen commune) has a long-standing traditional carpentry profession, attracting more than 200 households to participate in production with about 500 regular workers, with an average income of 8 - 15 million VND/person/month.

The main products of the craft village include: tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, rosewood beds, etc. which are widely consumed in and outside the province. It is estimated that the total revenue from carpentry in the whole Thuy Lan village reaches about 150 billion VND/year, making an important contribution to the development of the local economy .

Along with preserving traditional crafts, many production households in Thuy Lan have applied technology, improved machinery, promoted and consumed products, helping to affirm product brands in the market.
