Immediately after receiving the information, local authorities assigned forces to block off the area to warn people not to pass through this location, and mobilized on-site machinery to level the soil and rocks and clear the road as soon as possible.

However, at 7:00 p.m. the same day, landslides continued so the road was still not clear.

Faced with the complicated weather developments, Pung Luong commune has directed the urgent deployment of response plans to storm No. 11 to the grassroots and people; continued to propagate on the village's loudspeaker system about weather developments and directives of the province and commune.

The Commune Military Command has coordinated with units and villages to prepare a "4 on-site" plan, arranging materials, vehicles, forces, and logistics to prepare for rescue at key locations at risk of flash floods, inundation, and landslides.

In particular, local authorities are determined to evacuate households in areas at high risk of landslides to safe places, especially households that have to be evacuated due to the impact of recent storms No. 5 and No. 10.
