Ms. Mai planted flowers and ornamental plants in her front yard, creating a beautiful landscape and a natural hedge.

The family of Ms. Ly Thi Mai, in Giao Ngay village, Gia Phu commune, is one of the exemplary "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" models in the village. Their sturdy, 150m² house, with two facades located at a crossroads, was inaugurated at the end of 2024. To create a green and airy space, Ms. Mai planted many ornamental plants and flowers such as roses, chrysanthemums, and peonies around the yard. These vibrant flowerbeds not only beautify the landscape but also form a natural fence, separating the yard from the village's shared pathway.

The habit of keeping the house and garden clean has been maintained by her family since they lived in their old wooden, thatched-roof house. With the belief that "A clean house is comfortable, and clean dishes make food taste better," her family always prioritizes a tidy and organized lifestyle. Since moving to their new house, her husband has maintained the habit of waking up early every morning to sweep the gate, the road, and the intersection area, ensuring the shared space remains clean, beautiful, and safe for everyone passing by.

Ms. Mai shared: "My family and I always maintain a harmonious, green, clean, and beautiful lifestyle, not only inside the house but also keeping the surrounding area neat and clean."

Not far from Ms. Mai's house, Mr. Le Duc Thao's family has also maintained the "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" model for many years. The house is situated in the middle of the family's land, with a front yard and garden of flowers, ornamental plants, and shade trees. On either side are vegetable gardens for the family to grow and earn a living .

Mr. Le Duc Thao said: "My family has a fairly large garden, so I planted some pomelo trees in front of the house to provide shade and fruit. I also planted some orchids under the trees and a few flowering plants near the fence to add color to the space. Every time I come home tired from work, I sit down to rest, drink some water, and look out at the clean, airy garden with its abundant flowers and fruit. I feel happier and more optimistic about life."

Notably, Mr. Thao's family vegetable garden is scientifically designed, with a carefully and neatly constructed trellis system. This arrangement not only makes caring for and harvesting crops more convenient and efficient but also gives the garden a tidy and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

The "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" model of Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Phuong's family is the first of its kind in Ben Pha village.

In Ben Pha village, Gia Phu commune, the family of Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Phuong is the first "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" model to be recognized in early 2025. The spacious house with a large yard is decorated with many ornamental plants, creating a cool, harmonious green space. In particular, the set of tables and chairs in the yard has become a familiar gathering place, where neighbors, friends, and relatives often visit and chat in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Phuong shared: The "Clean Garden, Beautiful Home" model not only has a competitive spirit but also creates a habit of maintaining hygiene, protecting the environment, and ensuring a civilized and happy family life.

My husband and I both love having a garden, both for planting greenery to beautify our house and for providing a safe place for our children to play. In his free time, my husband likes to sit and drink tea, so we put a set of tables and chairs in the middle of the yard. Since we got that set of tables and chairs, neighbors often come over to chat and confide in each other, which has strengthened our neighborly bonds," added Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Phuong.

Besides the active participation of the members of the Women's Association in the village, the "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" model has also received close attention and coordination from the local Party committee, government, and mass organizations.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan, Secretary of the Party Branch of Ben Pha village, Gia Phu commune, said: The Party Branch has directed the village's organizations to coordinate with the Women's Association to implement the model of "Clean House, Beautiful Garden," creating conditions for households to learn from and follow, contributing to building Ben Pha village into an increasingly beautiful and civilized place.

Gia Phu commune is one of the localities that has effectively implemented the propaganda and mobilization of people to participate in building the "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" model. This activity is closely linked to the implementation of the "5 No's, 3 Cleanliness" criteria, the "Building a Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness" campaign, and the advanced new rural development program.

Ms. Le Thuy, Chairwoman of the Women's Association of Gia Phu commune, said: The commune has selected a number of households to build model "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" projects, which will then be replicated throughout the area. Many households have actively beautified their yards, planted flowers and trees, and implemented waste sorting at source, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful living space. To date, the commune has built more than 20 "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" models with over 500 participating members.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the entire political system and the enthusiastic response of the people, the "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" model in Gia Phu commune has been proving to be practically effective. From a movement, this model has gradually spread, becoming a beautiful way of life, making an important contribution to building the image of a livable rural area and promoting the process of building a more civilized, prosperous and beautiful new rural area.
