The first day back to school after the Lunar New Year holiday for students in Ho Chi Minh City was filled with joy and color.

At Phan Van Tri Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), New Year's celebrations were held in the schoolyard and in each classroom. Classes organized group activities in the schoolyard, while others held fun learning sessions, including quizzes with prizes.

However, a pencil needs to be sharpened and its outer layer smoothed out to become useful. This lesson is also for you, children: you need to strive, work hard, and persevere every day to become a useful pencil."

New Year's Day is a time when every teacher wants to bring a joyful atmosphere and a spirit of determination to their students for a meaningful start, especially for students in their final year, such as 9th graders.

In the first lesson of the year, Mr. Tuan Huy organized an activity called "A Message for Myself." Each student wrote down their personal goals and a motivational message for themselves as a spirited start to the new year. In addition, the "Motivation Gift" activity included small gifts and inspirational quotes in each red envelope to help students gain more motivation, determination, and confidence for their upcoming 10th grade entrance exam.

The return to school for students of class 12A11 at Nguyen Hien High School (District 11) after their spring outing was truly joyful, meaningful, and full of emotion. They exchanged New Year's greetings through poems, rhymes, and songs; and shared stories of their experiences during Tet (Lunar New Year) with family, relatives, and places they visited.

The most exciting and lively part was the "tear open the blind bag - pick up the lucky red envelope" activity, featuring red envelopes with denominations of 50,000, 100,000, 200,000, and 500,000 VND. Each student had a chance to receive a lucky red envelope from their homeroom teacher. The students were very excited and eager to participate. A new spring began with the happy smiles of both teacher and students, with the hope of achieving many new successes.

During the experiential learning and career guidance session, teachers and students together reviewed the cultural values ​​of traditional Tet (Vietnamese New Year), fostering pride in and preservation of the beautiful cultural traditions of their homeland, Vietnam.

The meaningful days of spring are drawing to a close, and a new year with new hopes awaits. The sweet aftertaste of the Lunar New Year inspires each student to strive in their studies with all their heart, achieving new accomplishments to continue anticipating the return of "spring."

Many activities took place on the first day back to school.

Teacher Pham Le Thanh presented his students with a calligraphic inscription, "The heart is worth more than three talents," to remind them to always maintain their enthusiasm for learning and to always prioritize integrity in everything they do. "Live honestly, straightforwardly, healthily, comfortably, happily, and responsibly. Your lives are your own choices, so be bold and strive to study hard to prepare yourselves for the future," Teacher Thanh advised his students on their first day of school after the Tet holiday.
