Recently, Tay Ninh Provincial Police have implemented many solutions to improve fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue skills for people, gradually reducing and preventing damage caused by fire and explosion. Senior Lieutenant Le Van Hieu - an officer of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Hoa Thanh - Chau Thanh area, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Police said: "The fire fighting and rescue practical experience program was directed by the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to be implemented simultaneously nationwide and was organized for the first time in Tay Ninh in 2024. Through the program, people were exposed to and used fire fighting and rescue equipment of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force - something that people rarely do in reality.

In addition, participants also learn and practice basic fire prevention and rescue skills to apply in life as a form of life skills. These are evidences of the purpose and practical significance of the program, helping each individual to be aware of the importance of fire prevention and rescue work, proactively prevent, know how to handle initially when a fire or explosion occurs, to minimize the number of incidents and damage caused by fire or explosion.

Pham Nguyen Phuong Anh, a 12th grade Literature student at Hoang Le Kha High School for the Gifted, said: “By participating in experiential activities, I have a better understanding of how to handle fire and explosion incidents, and how to use a fire extinguisher, thereby being able to protect myself and those around me. This is also an opportunity to help me practice life skills and calmly respond to emergency situations.”

Participating in the experience program, Vo My Quyen, a 12th grade Chemistry student at Hoang Le Kha High School for the Gifted, was excited to visit and listen to an introduction to firefighting and rescue vehicles and equipment such as fire trucks, gas masks, and cutting tools commonly used in handling accidents and incidents.

My Quyen shared: “I was introduced to a lot of useful knowledge about fire prevention and rescue by the authorities. I will regularly remind everyone to turn off electrical equipment, fire sources, and heat sources when not in use. My family is also equipped with fire fighting equipment according to regulations, in case of any unfortunate incidents that may occur.”

The unit also organizes many propaganda activities through flag-salute meetings, class activities, and coordinates with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to organize experiential activities for students to participate in so that they are aware of the role, meaning and importance of fire prevention and fighting work. In order for the unit's fire prevention and fighting work in the coming time to be effective, the school hopes to have close coordination with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to organize more experiential activities not only for students but also for teachers and the school's Fire Prevention and Rescue Team".

Identifying propaganda work as one of the most important topics of fire prevention and rescue work, Tay Ninh Police actively researches innovation and flexibly applies many different forms to propagate knowledge and skills of fire prevention and rescue to the people.

From traditional measures such as direct talking, distributing leaflets, broadcasting news and articles on the radio system... to implementing propaganda using mobile loudspeaker systems, creating infographics, propaganda videos on social networks... Thanks to that, people increasingly improve their knowledge, skills, and know how to do fire prevention on the spot, preventing major fires from happening.

In the coming time, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force will continue to strengthen propaganda, guidance, and improve people's knowledge and skills, promote the movement "All people participate in Fire Prevention and Rescue", helping everyone know how to prevent fires, handle fires, incidents, and accidents on the spot.
