Over the past 5 seasons, thousands of high-quality photojournalism works that have the power to spread and move viewers have been submitted to the contest, showing that the life of photojournalism is extremely vibrant and constantly developing, integrating with the pace of life of the country.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang said that photography always holds a special place in journalism. A photo taken at the right time, capturing a genuine yet unique moment of life through the lens of photography, always brings many emotions to the viewer.
To capture moments that last through the years, the photographer must master photography techniques as well as the laws of nature and life. In fact, many journalists and photographers are willing to risk their lives to pursue events, even in dangerous conditions, to capture golden moments.
With the desire to honor outstanding and creative authors and press photo works, VNA - a press agency with a long tradition in photography - initiated and hosted the Golden Moment Press Photo Award.
The Organizing Committee expects that the sixth Golden Moment will receive a large response from journalists and photographers, making a practical contribution to the development of photojournalism in the current period and also contributing to building a "professional, humane and modern" Vietnamese revolutionary press, General Director Vu Viet Trang affirmed.
| Golden Moment award structure includes: + Special prize: 30,000,000 VND + First Prize: 2 prizes (1 single photo prize and 1 photo series prize), each prize worth 20 million VND. + Second Prize: 4 prizes (2 single photo prizes and 2 photo series prizes), each prize worth 15 million VND. + Third Prize: 6 prizes (3 single photo prizes and 3 photo series prizes), each prize worth 10 million VND. + Consolation Prize: Some single photo and photo series prizes, each prize worth 5 million VND. The Jury will select a number of works to be displayed at the Award Ceremony. |
