Initial information on the fire at a charity house in Bac Ninh.

On the morning of February 10th, a fire broke out at the Huong La Charity House (Luong Tai commune, Bac Ninh province). At the time of the fire, many children being cared for there were safely evacuated.

According to initial information from the authorities, the fire broke out at around 7:30 a.m. on the same day in the candle-making warehouse area at the Huong La Charity House.

Subsequently, the fire quickly intensified. Upon receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Bac Ninh Provincial Police) mobilized vehicles and officers to the scene to extinguish the fire.

At the time of the fire, there were 13 nuns and 8 children inside; the rest were either at school or had returned to their hometowns for the Lunar New Year. Upon discovering the fire, the nuns and children were evacuated to safety.

The Huong La Charity House has 15 nuns and is currently caring for and nurturing 42 disabled children.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
