According to the Duc Chinh Agricultural Service Cooperative (Cam Giang district), due to the impact of typhoon No. 3, farmers planted carrots one month later than usual. Therefore, this year's carrot harvest will be at the end of December in the lunar calendar, about one month later than in previous years.
This cooperative currently has 360 hectares of carrots in 9 concentrated production areas, of which 90 hectares are certified to VietGAP standards, an increase of 40 hectares compared to 2023. This year's carrot production is expected to reach approximately 15,000 tons, similar to last year. 80% of the cooperative's carrot production is exported, with the remainder consumed domestically. The main markets for Duc Chinh carrots are South Korea, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
