According to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the overall graduation rate for the 2024 high school graduation exam is 99.07%, higher than in 2023 (98.42%); the graduation rate (excluding independent candidates) is 99.20%, higher than in 2023 (98.51%); the graduation rate (high school): 99.77%, higher than in 2023 (99.41%); the graduation rate (continuing education): 92.94%, higher than in 2023 (86.81%).

Across the city, 24 high schools achieved a 100% graduation rate, an increase of 3 schools compared to 2023.

There were 70 papers that scored 10 points, including 11 in Chemistry, 1 in Biology, 18 in History, 20 in Geography, 16 in Civic Education, and 4 in Foreign Languages.

In this year's high school graduation exam, candidate Lam Thi Anh Thu, exam number 55010109, a student from the Practice High School of Pedagogy – Can Tho University, achieved the highest score (valedictorian) with 56.3 points. Lam Thi Anh Thu also had the highest score in the Natural Sciences combined subject group, 56.3 points. Specifically, her scores were: Mathematics 8.2, Literature 8.0, Physics 9.75, Chemistry 9.75, Biology 10, and Foreign Language 9.6.

Candidate Tran Vo Phuong Nhi, a student from Chau Van Liem High School, achieved the highest score in the Social Sciences combined test, with 56.05 points. Specifically, her scores were: Math 8.6, History 9.5, Geography 9.75, Civic Education 9.5, and Foreign Language 9.2.

This year's exam in Can Tho City had two failing grades (1 point): one student from An Khanh High School (Chemistry) and one student from Truong Xuan Secondary and High School (English).
