"Leader" of Lam Lang village

(QBĐT) - In 2019, Mr. Cao Thế Lưu, from Lâm Lang village, Châu Hóa commune (Tuyên Hóa district), was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of the village. In his role as the village's "leader," he has always been dynamic and enthusiastic in his work, making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development and the construction of new rural areas in the locality.

Mr. Cao The Luu shared: “First and foremost, as a Party member, I must always be exemplary, strictly adhering to all the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and local regulations. During my work, I have focused on researching, advising, and proposing to the Party branch plans and solutions to help people effectively carry out tasks related to socio-economic development, national defense and security, and building new rural areas...”

In the agricultural sector, Mr. Luu, along with the Party Branch and the Village Front Committee, has been actively promoting and encouraging villagers to develop crop cultivation and livestock farming. To date, Lam Lang village has 38 hectares of rice paddies with a yield of 50 quintals/hectare; 5.5 hectares of grassland; nearly 200 buffaloes and cows (almost 100% hybrid cows); and over 4,000 poultry.

To increase the income of the villagers, Mr. Luu has promoted and encouraged them to diversify their occupations, engage in labor export, and start businesses. In 2024 alone, he mobilized villagers and people from his hometown to donate over 1 billion VND, and also rallied the people to work together to build a concrete road of about 1km, construct a new village gate, build 4 volleyball courts, and dredge and repair many irrigation canals.

With the attention and guidance of the Party Branch and the Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Lang village, the preservation of traditional cultural values ​​and good customs of the homeland is regularly maintained. Currently, the village has 3 traditional folk singing clubs and 1 poetry club operating effectively. Cultural and sports activities in the area are developing strongly. In the past 5 years, the village has consistently achieved the status of a cultural residential area; the poverty rate has decreased to 1.8%, and the near-poverty rate has decreased to 1.47%.

Implementing the national target program for building new rural areas, "leader" Cao The Luu, along with the Party branch and the Front Committee of the village, focused on directing the effective implementation of the "Movement for all people to unite in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas." Mr. Luu shared: "In 2020, Lam Lang was the first village in the district to be recognized as a model residential area. To achieve that result, we actively propagated and mobilized people to donate land and assets to expand many roads, plant flowers and trees along many internal village roads, and install traffic signs on main roads to ensure people's safety..."

Chairman of Chau Hoa Commune People's Committee, Phan Huy Hoang, assessed: “In his capacity as Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of Lam Lang Village, Mr. Cao The Luu has always strived to perform his assigned duties well. In his work, he is always proactive, daring to think, speak, act, and take responsibility, especially in developing plans for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building new rural areas. With his efforts, Mr. Cao The Luu has received many commendations from the commune and district Party Committees; for five consecutive years, he has been a Party member who has "Outstandingly completed his duties"...

After speaking, Mr. Liu led me on a stroll along the wide, clean roads. Many kinds of flowers bloomed brightly on both sides of the road. Many sections were covered by old bamboo groves and other green trees, making the countryside even cooler and more peaceful.

Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hong, a resident of Lam Lang village, shared: “Mr. Cao The Luu is very enthusiastic about village affairs, especially in the work of disseminating information and mobilizing people to join hands in building the New Rural Area. Previously, when the village was starting to build a model residential area, he mobilized me and other villagers to donate hundreds of meters of land to open roads. Thanks to that, the roads in the village are becoming wider, greener, cleaner, and more beautiful.” With the efforts of Mr. Luu and the people of Lam Lang village, Chau Hoa commune has successfully completed the construction of the advanced New Rural Area since 2023.

In Party building work, Mr. Cao The Luu and the Party branch committee have always done a good job in political and ideological education; fully disseminating Party directives, resolutions, and documents to Party members; and implementing the annual self-registration of exemplary learning plans for Party members. This has ensured that cadres and Party members always uphold a high spirit and responsibility, creating unity and cohesion from awareness to action. Through this, they have prevented and pushed back the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle among cadres and Party members in the branch.
