Attending the conference on deploying tax tasks for the remaining 6 months of 2024 of the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department on the afternoon of July 17 were comrades: Mai Xuan Thanh, Director General and Phi Van Tuan, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation; Tran Van Quan, Vice Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, praised the positive results in the management of budget collection and payment of the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department.
Agreeing with the tasks and solutions proposed by the Provincial Tax Department in the last 6 months of this year, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that Hai Duong tax agencies need to strengthen coordination with relevant levels and sectors to ensure unity and effectiveness in implementation and overcome limitations. Closely following the directions and leadership of the Ministry of Finance , the General Department of Taxation, and the province, the Provincial Tax Department needs to provide timely advice and strengthen cooperation with businesses and taxpayers to effectively implement tax policies. Regularly monitor and grasp the business situation to propose solutions and support production and business development.
The Provincial Tax Department needs to continue to improve the effectiveness of administrative reform, modernize professional activities, maintain discipline in performing public duties, increase publicity and transparency, ensure strictness and fairness in tax management. Strengthen synchronous measures in management to increase revenue, especially in areas with large revenue and room for growth such as coal trading, wharfs, foreign-invested enterprises... Support businesses to reduce tax arrears. Strengthen the fight against tax evasion and transfer pricing, focus on e-commerce tax collection...
Sharing the same view with the leaders of Hai Duong province, the leaders of the General Department of Taxation requested the tax sector to implement more substantially and drastically the invoices generated from cash registers and retail invoices for each sale of gasoline and oil so that the management and tax collection work can be put into order. Promote and promptly and effectively implement the propaganda, support and guidance for taxpayers, especially updating on new tax policies; on tax deferral and postponement policies to ensure social security and promote economic development.
In the first 6 months of 2024, domestic budget revenue managed by the Provincial Tax Department was 12,500 billion VND, reaching 74% of the assigned estimate and increasing by 46% over the same period last year. If land use fees, lottery and distributed dividends are deducted, the entire Hai Duong tax sector has collected over 9,000 billion VND, reaching 74% of the annual estimate and increasing by 25% over the same period last year. Of the 16 revenue items, 3 reached and exceeded, 11 reached over 50% of the annual estimate.
At the conference, authorized by the President, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to two comrades Do Cong Tien, Director and Nguyen Trong Tien, Deputy Director of the Provincial Tax Department.
The General Director of the General Department of Taxation awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the years from 2018 to 2022 and the Emulation Fighter of the entire financial sector in 2022 to 1 individual. The Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department was awarded the Emulation Flag of Outstanding Excellence in the Financial Sector in 2022 by the Ministry of Finance.
