In the context of deep integration, the Deputy Minister also highly appreciated the role of the Asian Cinema Alliance as an important bridge between world cinema and Vietnam, contributing to opening up many opportunities for cooperation, exchange and promotion of the image of the country and people of Vietnam through the art of cinema.
Vietnamese cinema is not only attractive because of its context and potential for cooperation, but also because of its unique identity in storytelling and cinematic language. Vietnamese films are increasingly recognized internationally for their ability to harmoniously combine the depth of traditional culture with a modern perspective, truly reflecting the social life and people of Vietnam, creating emotional cinematic works with an Asian feel but at the same time being close and easy to sympathize with global audiences.

Secretary General of the Asian Cinema Network Alliance Lorna Tee thanked Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh for taking the time to receive the delegation and shared the honor of being a member of the Jury for two consecutive times at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival.
Ms. Lorna Tee emphasized that Vietnamese cinema is currently attracting special attention from international friends. Works from Vietnamese cinema are increasingly appearing at prestigious film festivals.
The Secretary General affirmed that AFAN plays a bridging role, helping Vietnamese cinema talents reach out to the world through connecting with training programs, project support funds and international film festivals.
On this occasion, Ms. Lorna Tee proposed that Vietnam consider the possibility of joining the Asian Cinema Network Alliance to enhance cooperation and connection between Asian cinemas, contributing to the development of the regional film industry and promoting the culture and arts of Asian countries to the world.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh thanked and acknowledged the proposal of the Secretary General and assigned the Vietnam Cinema Department and the International Cooperation Department to exchange specific information with the Asian Cinema Network Alliance on Vietnam's possibility of participation and report to the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Asian Film Alliance Network (AFAN) was established in 2023, and is a non-profit organization that aims to promote cooperation and development of cinema in the Asian region.
AFAN has 8 members, including 7 founding members and Thailand as an additional member in the AFAN roundtable held on the sidelines of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. At this event, Vietnam, Japan and Saudi Arabia attended as observers. AFAN focuses on creating a common platform for filmmakers, producers, distributors and other film professionals to share experiences, resources and cooperation opportunities including activities on organizing film events; Production and distribution support; Training and human resource development; Research and publication.
