The Prime Minister is the Head of the Steering Committee for the development of the Regional and International Financial Center Project.

On September 15, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision 987/QD-TTg on the completion of the Steering Committee for the development of the Regional and International Financial Center Project (Steering Committee).

Accordingly, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Head of the Steering Committee.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung is Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

Members include: Comrade Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Standing Member.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Chi, Deputy Minister of Finance.

Comrade Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Comrade Vu Hai San, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Comrade Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Comrade Pham Duc Long, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.

Comrade Tran Quy Kien, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

Comrade Dang Hoang Oanh, Deputy Minister of Justice.

Comrade Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.

The Steering Committee for the development of the Regional and International Financial Center Project was established under Decision No. 1160/QD-TTg dated October 6, 2023 of the Prime Minister to advise the Government and the Prime Minister on research, direction, and coordination in resolving important, inter-sectoral tasks in the process of developing the Regional and International Financial Center Project.

The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to develop the Regional and International Financial Center Project; assisting the Prime Minister in directing, coordinating and harmonizing ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and localities in developing the Regional and International Financial Center Project.

At the same time, the Steering Committee assists the Prime Minister in urging ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and localities to develop the Regional and International Financial Center Project; presides over coordination and organization of cooperation, consultation and exchange activities with domestic and international agencies and organizations on the development of the Regional and International Financial Center in Vietnam, and performs other tasks related to the development of the Regional and International Financial Center Project assigned by the Prime Minister.

The Steering Committee works part-time, promoting the responsibility of the Head of the Steering Committee and each member of the Steering Committee in researching and proposing directions, tasks, and solutions to build and implement the Project of Regional and International Financial Center, ensuring feasibility, effectiveness, and suitability with the practical situation to maximize the potential and advantages of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City in particular./.
