On Hon Son Island, Lai Son commune, Kien Hai district, Kien Giang province, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) has been organized for about two years. Besides sightseeing, enjoying seafood, snorkeling to admire coral reefs, collecting shellfish, and fishing, SUP paddling is a favorite activity for tourists.

It only takes about 5 minutes by boat to reach the SUP paddling spots set up by the locals. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc from Phu Tan district, An Giang province, shared: “This is my first time experiencing SUP paddling; it's a beneficial sport . You can float on the sea with everyone; going in a large group makes the experience even more fun. Next time, near Tet (Lunar New Year), I will come back here again.”

After boarding the boat, tourists are provided with shoes by the guide to protect their feet from underwater rocks and to facilitate movement while participating in SUP paddling activities.

SUP boats can carry 2 to 3 people and are supervised by guides throughout the activity. Besides paddling, tourists can also snorkel to admire the coral reefs, coral, and various fish species. These are experiences that keep tourists coming back to Hon Son Island.

Visitors are required to wear life jackets when participating in the game.
