Every morning, Bui Thi Minh Anh, a 9th grade student at Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, goes to the community library of her residential group to read books. With a rich source of books, a convenient location close to home, and the presence of many readers of the same age, the library has brought Minh Anh many experiences, joys and useful knowledge.

I am very happy that the library is open here. Normally, if I want to read books, I have to go to the Provincial Library which is quite far away. With this library, I come here more often, read many good books, chat with friends, and feel more confident in communication.

Minh Anh shared.

This community library was built with contributions from residents and social organizations in residential group 7, with a total cost of 50 million VND. With an area of nearly 80m², the library is designed in an open space model, serving all ages for free at any time of the day.

Currently, the library has more than 300 books in many different fields such as: science, social life, history, politics , comics, newspapers, magazines... The book and story corners are arranged scientifically, vividly and closely, easy to access for all readers.

After only nearly two months of operation, this place has quickly become a favorite destination for people, from children to the elderly, contributing to improving people's knowledge, building a healthy lifestyle, and at the same time creating a common living space, connecting the village and neighborhood.

For our old age, coming here to read books to each other, to exchange and learn more, is very meaningful. From small actions have brought great joy to the elderly, there is not a day that I am not here.

Ms. Dam Thi Nu in residential group number 7, Cam Duong ward expressed.

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Pham Thi Hang said: “The consensus of the people has contributed to creating this miracle. Hopefully the library will always be renewed, with more attractive books to attract children, and adults can also update news and improve their knowledge.”

In the context of strong digital technology development, this small but meaningful community library model shows its positive influence and effectiveness in encouraging reading habits, is a cultural highlight, and helps improve the spiritual life of local people.

Hopefully, community library models like this will be increasingly replicated, so that reading culture becomes an indispensable part of modern life, a solid foundation for knowledge development and community cohesion.
