Defending champions TP HCM 1 lose to Than KSVN, ending their winning streak.

(NLĐO) - Concluding Round 4 of the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club 1 ended their winning streak and lost their top spot to Hanoi.

Entering the match against Than KSVN on the afternoon of September 18th, TP HCM 1 brought with them a record of 3 consecutive wins and was considered the superior team.

However, a surprise occurred in the first half when captain Huynh Nhu lost the ball in midfield, creating a counter-attack opportunity for the opponent. Nguyen Thi Van delivered an accurate diagonal pass, Truc Huong sprinted forward and coolly beat goalkeeper Thu Em, opening the scoring 1-0 for the mining team.

Than KSVN had the advantage, becoming more confident as the game progressed, defending tightly and launching sharp counter-attacks. In the 39th minute, Thúy Hằng nearly doubled the lead if goalkeeper Thu Em hadn't made an excellent save.

In the second half, coach Kim Chi launched a full-scale attack, but all of TP HCM 1's key players were neutralized.

Than KSVN created a surprise in round 4.

Unable to score, the defending champions suffered a 0-1 defeat. After 4 rounds, TP HCM 1 has 9 points, dropping to second place.

Hanoi currently holds the top spot with 10 points. Than KSVN is close behind in third place with 7 points, continuing to demonstrate their strength as a formidable opponent thanks to their quality investment.

In the other match, Phong Phu Ha Nam, despite scoring their first goal of the season, lost 1-2 to Thai Nguyen T&T. Minh Chuyen opened the scoring for the team from the tea-producing region in the 35th minute. In the 83rd minute, Anh Tran equalized 1-1, but Lo Thi Hoai scored the winning goal just one minute later, securing a 2-1 victory.

This was Thai Nguyen T&T's first win, helping them climb to fourth place with 5 points. Phong Phu Ha Nam remains stuck second to last with 1 point, level with Ho Chi Minh City 2.
