Thua Thien Hue restores portraits, pays tribute to heroic martyrs

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province has just sent an official dispatch to districts, towns and Hue city regarding the registration for restoration of martyrs' portraits on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).

The leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province assigned the task to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Department of Meritorious People to coordinate in organizing activities to restore martyrs' photos.

It is expected that 141 photos will be restored on this occasion. This is a very meaningful activity, first implemented in Thua Thien Hue province to honor the great contributions of heroic martyrs in the resistance war to protect the Fatherland.

To have a basis for implementation, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province requested the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of districts, towns and Hue city to propagate and disseminate this meaningful activity to the People's Committees at the commune level and relatives of martyrs to synthesize registration needs, on the basis of 1 photo of martyr/commune-level unit.

The whole province of Thua Thien Hue currently has nearly 89,000 people with revolutionary contributions, including more than 19,000 martyrs. In recent times, the province has always done a good job in the work of war invalids and martyrs, promptly and fully implementing preferential policies and regimes for people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives.
