Promoting Vietnam-Russia defense cooperation

On the afternoon of October 9, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defense, received Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich for a courtesy visit on the occasion of taking up the post of Defense Attaché of the Russian Federation in Vietnam.

Congratulating Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich on his appointment as Defense Attaché of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang believes that Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich will effectively contribute to the defense cooperation between the two countries.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang emphasized that over the past time, the Vietnam-Russia defense cooperation relationship has been effectively implemented by both sides and achieved many important results in many fields, notably the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially at high levels; effectively maintaining cooperation mechanisms such as the Deputy Minister-level Defense Strategy Dialogue; cooperation between armies, services, agencies, units, academies, schools, cooperation in scientific and technological research within the framework of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center; coordination at international multilateral mechanisms and forums on defense.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang asked Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich to continue to coordinate effectively with the Foreign Affairs Department and agencies and units of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to implement the agreed cooperation contents; affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will create favorable conditions for Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich to complete his term of office.
