On the morning of June 27, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee Truong Thi Mai warmly received a high-ranking delegation of the Cuban Workers' Center led by Comrade Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, Politburo member of the Communist Party of Cuba, member of the State Council of the Republic of Cuba, Member of the Cuban National Assembly, Secretary General of the Cuban Workers' Center, Vice President of the World Federation of Trade Unions, who visited and worked in Vietnam.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai warmly welcomed the working visit of the delegation of the Cuban Workers' Center, which took place at a meaningful time when the two countries are celebrating the 60th anniversary of Cuba's establishment of the Solidarity Committee with South Vietnam (September 1963) and the 50th anniversary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro's visit to Vietnam and to the Liberation Zone of South Vietnam in Quang Tri (September 1973).
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai emphasized that the special, exemplary, selfless, loyal and pure friendship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, established by President Ho Chi Minh and Leader Fidel Castro and cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries over the past 60 years, is a priceless common asset that needs to be preserved and passed on to the younger generation.
Expressing gratitude for Cuba's valuable assistance in Vietnam's struggle for national liberation, the Standing Secretariat affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always stand side by side, accompany, unite and support the Party, State and people of Cuba.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai shared about the process of innovation and international integration led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, the results and achievements of socio-economic development, emphasizing that Vietnam strives to become a developed country by 2045.
Expressing her joy at the positive results Cuba has achieved, Comrade Truong Thi Mai believes that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, headed by First Secretary Díaz-Canel, with the ideology of leaders Fidel Castro and Raul Castro, and the support of the people, the brotherly country of Cuba will overcome difficulties, continue to implement the policy of Updating the socio-economic model, and achieve even greater achievements in the revolutionary cause.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai highly appreciated the results achieved in the special relationship, traditional friendship and good cooperation between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Cuban Workers' Center.
The Standing Secretariat suggested that the two sides continue to closely coordinate and concretize cooperation contents to effectively implement the signed Memorandum of Understanding, contributing to further deepening the relationship between the Trade Union organizations of the two countries in the new situation, promoting their roles and contributing to the relationship between the two countries and peoples.
Secretary General of the Cuban Workers' Center Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento thanked comrade Truong Thi Mai for taking the time to receive the delegation; respectfully conveyed the greetings and regards of the high-ranking leaders of the Cuban Party and State to the leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State.
The Secretary General of the Cuban Workers' Center expressed his delight at the development of relations between the two Parties and countries, which have been promoted through high-level and all-level visits; informed about the current situation in Cuba and the implementation of policies to update the socio-economic model and activities of the Cuban Workers' Center.
The Secretary General stressed that the Party, State and people of Cuba attach great importance to, consolidate and preserve the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. The Cuban Workers' Center will closely coordinate with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to effectively implement cooperation contents, enhance exchanges and share experiences.
