Arsenal are stepping up their plans to upgrade their attack this summer. |
Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his squad after three consecutive Premier League runners-up finishes. Arsenal are expected to announce the signings of Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard in the coming days. Most recently, Arsenal completed the £5m signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga. However, Arsenal are not done yet.
Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres are said to be the two top targets for the No.9 position, while Real Madrid player Rodrygo has also been linked with the London side. According to The Athletic, Arsenal are also determined to sign Eberechi Eze.
Arsenal have not contacted Crystal Palace to discuss a deal, but they are "seriously considering" the possibility of signing Eze. Eze's contract has a release clause of £60m plus add-ons. Arsenal are keen to negotiate a lower fee.
Notably, the Eze deal is seen as separate from Arsenal's search for a winger and a striker, with journalist Fabrizio Romano even confirming that the player is ready to join Arsenal if the club reach a contract agreement with Palace.
