Wimbledon 2025 has had one of the most chaotic starts in history, with a number of top seeds being eliminated early. After just the first two rounds, 23 seeded players in both men's and women's singles have already said goodbye to the tournament, making the situation more unpredictable than ever.

In the men's singles, only five of the top 10 seeds are in the third round: Jannik Sinner (No. 1), Carlos Alcaraz (No. 2), Taylor Fritz (No. 5) and Novak Djokovic (No. 6), Ben Shelton (No. 10).

Meanwhile, expected players such as Zverev, Draper, Musetti, Rune and Medvedev were all eliminated early, and most of them stopped in the first round.

On the women's singles side, there are still 5 seeds in the top 10 in the third round, including: Aryna Sabalenka (No. 1), Madison Keys (No. 6), Mirra Andreeva (No. 7), Iga Swiatek (No. 8) and Emma Navarro (No. 10).

Despite the surprising wave of early eliminations at Wimbledon of many big names, the remaining faces such as Djokovic, Swiatek, Alcaraz, Sinner or Sabalenka are still enough to keep the attraction for the next rounds. Wimbledon 2025 promises to continue to bring surprises and drama until the final match.

In which, Djokovic and Sinner both shined to continue convincingly and also set a series of impressive records, affirming their leading position in the Grand Slam arena.

Djokovic showed his superior class when defeating Dan Evans with a score of 6-3, 6-2, 6-0. With this 6-0 straight set win, he won a set 6-0 for the 50th time at a Grand Slam, thereby equaling the record of the legendary Andre Agassi.

In addition, Djokovic also increased the total number of wins at Wimbledon after the age of 30 to 44, just 1 less than Roger Federer's record. Notably, at the age of 38, he became the oldest player since Jimmy Connors (1991) to win a set 6-0 at Wimbledon.

On the other hand, Sinner - the world's number 1 tennis player - also demonstrated his destructive form when he only lost 12 games after the first two rounds, the best result of a number 1 seed at Wimbledon since Federer in 2004.

Not only that, Sinner also achieved a 91% win rate when holding the ATP No. 1 position, second only to the legend Bjorn Borg (91.9%) in history.

The third round of the tournament will continue this afternoon, July 4, with women's singles matches.
