The Organizing Committee awarded 200 gifts, each worth 250,000 VND, including rice and noodles, to help households in difficult circumstances reduce their burden and improve their lives.
Representatives of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Thi Ky commune received the symbolic sponsorship from the sponsor (Mrs. Truong My Ai's family, Tan Thanh ward).
These are 200 gifts that Ho Thi Ky Commune Youth Union mobilized sponsors to give to the people.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: Since the beginning of September, the Commune People's Committee and the Commune Youth Union have mobilized 100 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) and 80 gifts of necessities for the poor and near-poor. Along with today's gifts, it is not only a timely source of material support, but also a sharing and spiritual encouragement, contributing to igniting the belief and determination for people to rise up to stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably. This is also a testament to the tradition of "mutual love and support", "the rich help the poor" of the nation, while raising community awareness, creating solidarity and sustainable development.
Each gift includes noodles and rice worth 250,000 VND given to the people.
Ho Thi Ky commune currently has 6,118 households with 27,327 people, of which 103 are poor households (1.87%) and 126 are near-poor households (2.28%). Thanks to the attention of the Party, the State and the cooperation of the community, the lives of people in the commune have improved significantly in recent years.
