The delegation inspected one health station and the main office of Tan Loc Commune Health Station, assessing the infrastructure and medical equipment, and listening to the concerns and suggestions of the doctors and medical staff working at the grassroots level.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu, head of the working group, directly listened to the thoughts, feelings, suggestions, and proposals of the medical staff working at the grassroots level in Tan Loc commune.

Reporting at the meeting, the leader of Tan Loc Commune Health Station stated that there are currently two health stations and one main office with 18 staff members. The unit is facing difficulties regarding infrastructure at all three operating locations; many medical equipment items are outdated and damaged; and there is a shortage of doctors, midwives, and specialized personnel. The locality requested the province to provide support and investment to improve the effectiveness of grassroots healthcare .

Following an on-site inspection, Comrade Pham Van Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged the efforts of the local authorities and the team of doctors and medical staff at the grassroots level in providing healthcare to the people.

The comrade emphasized that grassroots health stations are the core and frontline in protecting and providing primary healthcare for the people, and improving the quality of their operations, strengthening infrastructure, equipment, and human resources is an extremely urgent task.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu emphasized: "Grassroots health stations must truly strengthen the trust of the people and be gradually invested in with modern facilities to meet the needs of people for medical examination and treatment."

Ms. Dinh Thi Mung, Chairwoman of the Tan Loc Commune People's Committee, reported on the issues discussed at the meeting with the inspection team.

The comrade affirmed that, along with the implementation of the two-tiered local government model and the Political Bureau's Resolution 72, Ca Mau province will prioritize resources to gradually improve and modernize the grassroots health station system, aiming to enhance medical examination and treatment capacity and strengthen people's trust.

This afternoon, the working group led by Comrade Pham Van Thieu continued its inspection of the operation of the grassroots health station in Dat Mui commune.
