From October 25th, Fansipan Peak – the “Roof of Indochina” – has donned a new, more vibrant and charming appearance than ever before, as the second Lotus Flower Festival officially opened, kicking off the 2025 Winter Festival with a series of attractive activities and events in Sa Pa ( Lao Cai ).

Upon entering the Serenity Garden in the cable car station area, visitors are immediately captivated by a vibrant visual art space, created from thousands of blooming succulents against a backdrop of rustic stone, bamboo, and wood.
Running until November 24th, the Lotus Flower Festival at Sun World Fansipan Legend carries a profound message about "the serene flow" - a place where the "heart" finds peace amidst the endless stream of life.

The centerpiece of the festival is the art installation "Blooming Stone Heart," made up of hundreds of beautiful succulents. The image of succulents blooming brightly on a barren rock carries a meaningful message, symbolizing the human spirit of striving to overcome difficulties and challenges in life.

Many international visitors attending the festival for the first time were overwhelmed and delighted by the paradise of succulent plants, featuring hundreds of meticulously crafted miniature landscapes made from succulents.
Additionally, visitors can admire unique succulent plant paintings mounted on the walls, creating tranquil resting places where they can take a deep breath, slow down, and find inner peace.

“I’ve been to many flower festivals, but this is the first time I’ve seen succulents arranged so elaborately and uniquely. The succulent paintings on the walls were truly a highlight, making me feel like all my worries just vanished. I also participated in the succulent planting competition, personally sowing a seed of peace to take home as a keepsake; it was a very meaningful experience,” shared Ms. Phuong Linh (a tourist from Hanoi ) about her experience.

While the Succulent Festival offers tranquility and serenity, the journey to conquer Fansipan this season opens up a romantic "fairytale land," where visitors can witness spectacular cloud hunting. These days, Fansipan peak is entering its most beautiful cloud-hunting season, with cool air and the opportunity to admire the thick, fluffy sea of clouds stretching endlessly below.

In particular, amidst the breathtaking sea of clouds resembling a celestial paradise, visitors can participate in the sacred flag-raising ceremony on the summit of Fansipan or admire the magnificent spiritual architectural complex, evoking feelings of peace and tranquility. (Photo: Tripdi)

"I've been to many places in Asia, but I've never seen anything as magnificent and peaceful as this."
"Standing amidst a sea of white clouds, next to the Great Amitabha Buddha statue, I felt my soul lighten, as if I had transcended the mundane world. The scenery was magnificent, as if I were touching heaven. This feeling was truly sacred," shared Johnathan (a tourist from France) emotionally.

The journey to explore Fansipan is made even more complete when visitors can enjoy the spectacular "Journey to the Sacred Peak" art show.
With 3 acts and performed at 3 different locations within Sun World Fansipan, the show offers an exciting journey through the landscapes, culture, and spirit of Northwest Vietnam, taking visitors through a myriad of emotions, from lively to tranquil, from profound to heroic.

On their journey to explore Fansipan, tourists also have the opportunity to discover the fascinating lives of ethnic minorities in Ban May such as the H'Mong of Sa Pa, H'Mong of Dien Bien, Xa Pho, Tay, Giay, Red Dao, Thai, Ha Nhi… and directly experience their interesting customs and traditions.

Especially during this autumn and winter season, Sun World Fansipan Legend is adorned with a vibrant array of seasonal flowers. Visitors can freely take photos amidst the romantic scenery of flower gardens such as buckwheat, reeds, purple flowers, roses, hydrangeas, and yellow cassia flowers.
In particular, the hill covered in vibrant purple flowers, resembling a carpet of deep purple blossoms stretching at the foot of Fansipan mountain, is a spectacular check-in spot that cannot be missed.

The 2025 Lotus Flower Festival is not only an art event but also the opening event for a promising series of activities for the Sa Pa Winter Festival, lasting until the end of 2025 and welcoming the new year 2026.
The main highlight is the two shows, "Dance Under the Moonlight" and "Sacred," at the Sa Pa Square (from November 7th to November 15th).
Here, for the first time, Sa Pa will shine in an unprecedented feast of light, sound, and emotion, where the most spectacular interactive 3D Mapping technology will converge, featuring hundreds of lighting devices, high-powered projectors, and the most modern performance technology.
The 2025 Lotus Flower Festival and the series of Winter Festival events in Sa Pa are not only the starting point for a vibrant tourist season, but also the most sincere invitation for everyone, no matter how busy they are, to take a journey back in time, to find peace and tranquility in the "Roof of Indochina".
